Direct Injection Molding

compression molding Direct Injection: A screw injection system delivers a metered quantity of rubber into the closed mold. The injection unit is fed from a continuous strip or a reservoir of uncured rubber. That which is pre conditioned to provide the very best material characteristics for introduction into the cavity. This process is generally used for multi-cavity molds and can produce hundreds of components per press cycle.

Direct Injection lends itself to relatively large quantities and infrequent changes of materials. Parts are repeatable and can be made to a high level of precision.

At PPR we offer complete technical and engineering support. We contribute our expertise to every phase of the process, from concept engineering to mold making to production to packaging.
